    Join us for an exceptional night of wine + sake tasting by Hilo’s own Ryan Kadota of Kadota Liquor. We are also proud to feature fellow Waiākea High School Alumni during this much-anticipated event!

    Chef Shawn Sumiki, the head of Hawaii Community College’s Culinary Program, has come up with a complementary menu of exquisite pupu pairings! And world-renowned contemporary fine artist, Kristie Fujiyama Kosmides, will be doing a live painting during the event while we enjoy the beautiful musical stylings of Harold Kama, Jr.!

  • WHS Academy Presentations

    WHS is a wall-to-wall academy school, meaning that all students and adults are part of an academy. Through these academies, students progress in the six General Learner Outcomes (GLOs) with particular emphasis on employability skills. After a year of exploration in the Freshman Academy, students choose from one of 12 career pathways and join that career academy. Academies include Industry + Technology, Arts + Communication, Health Services and Public Services.     Come join the WHS homecoming parade that goes through Waiākea High, Intermediate and Elementary campuses. It’s followed by Homecoming “Hana Hou” where students do an encore performance for family + friends! Then stay for our very own Waiākea Nite Market!
