Join us in celebrating Waiākea High School’s 50th Anniversary!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are sorry to inform our Warrior Alumni Ohana that due to the anticipated severe weather associated with Hurricane Nolo, all WHS school-sponsored activities, athletics and extracurricular activities and other school events are CANCELLED on Thurs (9/24), Fri (9/25), Sat (9/26) and Sun (9/27). For our Waiākea High School 50th Anniversary events, this means that the Homecoming Football Game (Sat, 9/26) and “Warrior Comeback + Giveback Day” (Sun, 9/27) are both CANCELLED!

We know that everyone was looking forward to these kick-off events, and we had hundreds of excited WHS Alumni, former Teachers, Coaches and Faculty planning to attend, but the safety of our Warrior Ohana is always our top priority. And while we are all extremely sad and disappointed that the Waiākea High School 50th Anniversary will not be celebrated in the way we planned, we still take a moment of pause and gratitude to appreciate every hand who has helped us get to this point.

The WHS 50th Anniversary gave us the opportunity to start and grow our Warrior Alumni Ohana! The event brought together individuals and businesses in the Waiākea community and beyond! We have reconnected alumni, former teachers and faculty, and brought back so many wonderful stories and memories of Waiākea High School! And no Hurricane can take that away from us!

So THANK YOU! Thank you to each and every one of you who have reached out to contribute, donate and volunteer! As we celebrate 50 years of Waiākea High School, in-person or not, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and leave a legacy for future generations of Warriors to come! And we are reminded that the Warrior spirit is as strong as ever, and near or far, we will always be WAIĀKEA STRONG!
